The National Public Housing Museum is the only cultural institution devoted to telling the story of public housing in the United States. Our mission is to preserve, promote, and propel the right of all people to a place where they can live and prosper — a place to call home.

Our permanent home is under construction at the last remaining building of the 1930s WPA-era Jane Addams Homes in Chicago’s Near West Side and will open to the public later this year.

Our phone lines are temporarily closed. Please email us at info@nphm.org and we will reply as soon as possible.

Join us at our gala this April to celebrate our journey to our permanent home, opening this summer. Learn more!
